Our food and luggage were transported between accommodation, and our drivers were flexible, accommodating and enthusiastic about the walk. So all we had to do was relax and enjoy this magnificent part of the world! Special thanks to our driver Reuben, Gerry and Drew.
Nancy was fantastic with the organisation, Mark very thorough with the briefing and caring of our safety. Reuben very knowledgeable and so friendly, also caring. The whole experience was wonderful, everything went smoothly. Loved the whole thing, the walk, the people we dealt with, accommodations and such good food. One tip though, in preparation, lots of training up and down hills!
It was a wonderful holiday, I didn’t want it to end, until I was halfway through the last days walk. The accommodation was amazing, would have been nice to stay longer. The food was great, but a bit too much! Reuben always had a story, which kept us entertained on our drives to and from our pickup/drop off points. Mark and Nancy I am so glad we chose your small local business.
Everyone extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding of specific needs. Our accommodation and hosts were just wonderful – could not have had a better experience! Our tips would be to Parks that signage at a couple of points needs improving, and to walkers get your fitness up with some hill walking!
The Great Ocean Walk walk-in sites were tucked away within the bush & so peaceful, the only sound we could hear at night was the grunting koalas!
Absolutely fabulous organisation, from enquiry through to booking and all the way through to final day of walk. Fabulous drivers, wonderful accommodation and hosts. Everyone friendly and accommodating. Thank you to the whole team!

We found Walk91 on the web. Nancy went the extra bit [long extra bit] to accommodate our many requests. This was much appreciated and allowed for the special needs of our walkers timeframe and diet. The itinerary was planned perfectly. Walking distance manageable, bus pick up times easy. We wish to make special mention of our van driver Sam. He was excellent, very personable and the girls had a lot of fun with him. Nothing was too much trouble and we looked forward to his company both ways. Certainly having the van [& Sam] to ourselves added ‘extra value’ to our experience.
Our accommodation was a lovely home, very comfortable. Beds cozy. Fireplace excellent, extra kindling was very much appreciated. We had no problems find the meeting spots each day.We enjoyed the ever changing scenery – be it back again sometimes too similar We enjoyed the ever changing scenery – be it back again sometimes too similar as what we had passed through.
Our tips for other walkers are: Go with a reasonable level of fitness – take time to look around & don’t rush it. If not used to beach walking the sand is ‘soft’ takes a little more effort. Pack thermos for hot drink – well worth the extra weight in day pack. Do with friends/family – wonderful way to catch up and just chat [on and on…] or not!
A million thank yous Nancy and Mark for such a well organised trip, particularly as it was so last minute! Everything was perfect including the weather until the last day. All I had to do was walk, which is exactly what I wanted and it was worth every cent (even with the soreness). Special thanks to Sam for driving me down to Loch Ard Gorge at the end, it meant a great deal.

Sensational experience! Breathtaking scenery and beautiful wild animal viewings!
We did a little research on the internet and found Walk 91 to be the best provider to suit our needs, as it offered shorter walks of 5 days, and that was exactly what we were looking for! The itinerary was perfectly planned, adjusted to our needs and wishes. We were provided with a very accurate map, where you could easily follow your way on the GOW. We were also provided with a descriptive and detailed itinerary on how the walk would be, with a track grading (easy-medium-hard), so we were always well prepared to what was to be expected.
The trail was very well signed, too, and the meeting spots where we were to be picked up were well described in the itinerary. We have to admit- everything was perfect! We felt very safe due to the good description, the provided mobile phone and the epirb. And the lunch packet was great!!! The team of Walk 91 was very attentive and obliging. All the accommodations were wonderful and we felt we could really relax when we arrived there. Everything was perfectly organised and the hosts were really kind and welcoming.
The walk was amazing! The scenery and landscape were amazing and we were able to see kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and many beautiful birds. It was incredible! Every day was fulfilling and satisfactory. The trail was well signed and the Parks Victoria grading for each day was pretty accurate. There is only one section of the walk, that we think Parks Victoria could improve and that is the last part of the trail “Castle Cove to Milanesia Gate”, which is on the main car road, so that there are some cars passing by.
Our tips are: bring some good shoes, water bottles and a camera and enjoy the Great Ocean Walk! It’s totally worth it!
